COMMUNITY GIVING

  1. Mission Statement

At 50 Over 50 Awards, our mission is to honor and celebrate individuals aged 50 and older who are making a profound impact in their communities through leadership, innovation, and service. By recognizing these individuals, we aim to inspire intergenerational collaboration, challenge outdated perceptions of aging, and elevate the contributions of those whose wisdom and experience drive meaningful change.

As part of our commitment to giving back, we donate a portion of our proceeds to a nonprofit organization that aligns with our values. As you can see, community-driven decision-making and transparency is part of all of our processes. For that reason, we allow The Lifetime Achievement Award recipient to select the nonprofit our donation goes to each year, ensuring that the cause reflects the legacy and leadership we celebrate.

2 . Nonprofit Selection Criteria:

The nonprofit chosen must:

  • Be a registered 501(c)(3) organization in good standing.

  • Align with the values of the 50 Over 50 Awards, supporting causes that contribute to community enrichment, social impact, or public well-being.

  • Have a local or regional impact, strengthening the communities our honorees serve.

  • Be nonpartisan and non-political, ensuring inclusivity for all.

  • Accept and use donations for direct community support rather than administrative costs.

By empowering the Lifetime Achievement Award recipient to make this selection, we continue our commitment to impartiality and community-led impact, ensuring that every year, the 50 Over 50 Awards uplifts a cause that matters most to the individuals who inspire us.
